What to Wear to Work With Banana Republic

Early mornings are typically a NO for me and finding outfits before sun rise is always a struggle. There have been many times...ok so everyday...that I'm late to work because I can't find an outfit. And picking an outfit the night before never works because I almost always change my mind in the morning. But I've been trying my hardest to break out of that habit. #NewYearNewMe hahaha! Anyway, I've got 2 looks that you can totally wear to work if you're in a creative field or if your job is chill like mine.

So I loooove wearing skirts no matter the temperature and I have to say this textured button down skirt from Banana Republic is perfect for this deadly winter. Paired with a simple turtleneck top allows the skirt to be the statement piece. But I felt that it was only right to add some leather and faux fur to pull everything back to my edgy style.

You can never go wrong with jeans and a sweater, it's a definite no brainer combo and the comfiest I must say. I decided to chic it up a bit with my fave snake boots and something fuzzy. This sweater from Banana Republic is super cozy and fits so perfectly and I love the pale blue color which is a first in my closet.

2 Easy Looks for Fall with Banana Republic

**Banana Republic provided free product in exchange for this post. All opinions expressed are my own.**

Lately these days I haven't had much time to really get dressed in the morning, mostly because I have like 5 alarms that I snooze ALL THE TIME! But besides that, I have miraculously been putting together these very simple yet chic outfits that are perfect for work. Dressing for the Fall season can be somewhat difficult thanks to cold weather in the AM, sweaty temps in noon, and cold again at night. To make things easy my outfits tend to have a simple formula: An outer piece + simple top + some type of jeans + a pair of black shoes/converse. You can see how this formula comes into effect in the two looks below. Keep reading to find out what Banana Republic items I'm wearing.

Look 1 | White Blazer + Cami Top + Banana Republic Ankle Jeans + Black Ankle Boots

The white blazer definitely elevated this look to business casual when paired with the jeans. Speaking of these jeans, they are super comfy I love that it's a skinny ankle jean because they hit perfectly above my ankle boots and they fit like a glove. On a side note, I actually wore this outfit to a concert after work so it totally doubles as a casual night out look.

-Banana Republic Tee|F21 Jacket(similar)|Boohoo Jeans|Topshop Shoes(similar) |VTG Backpack(similar)-

Look 2 | Leather Jacket + Banana Republic Long Sleeve Tee + Black Jeans + Lace Up Shoes

Pink is the new black and it looks even better when you pair it with actual black. I love how this simple tee can become such a statement piece just because of its color. This tee is very comfy and light weight which is perfect for this transitioning season. And I'm pretty sure that I'll be needing this tee in multiple colors.

O U T F I T: Spring Sweaters with Banana Republic

The Spring season may be all about baring shoulders and exposed necklines but if you live in the eastern part of the US or New York specifically, then you'll understand my need for wearing Spring sweaters. Now don’t get me wrong, I am definitely patiently waiting for the right temperature to bare my shoulders and flaunt my neckline, haha. But in the meantime, I have styled two Spring sweaters courtesy of Banana Republic. Each sweater has a different take on what it means to feel cool during the day but warm enough at night, hello versatility!

LOOK 1 | Tough Sweater

This look is definitely on the edgy side but still very simple and classic. I love the khaki color of this sweater as it's a perfect contrast with the black leather pieces and the v-neckline still allow my neck to breathe during the day while not being too overly exposed for the cooler night. Now I know this look doesn't really scream Spring but in New York, this look is very acceptable. And I am also digging the idea of tucking in sweaters, the tucked in style seems to pull the look together making it feel more polished.

LOOK 2 | Friendly Fringe

So, how can you not love fringe for the Spring season? This look is a lot more playful and practically yells Spring. I love experimenting with textures and little details like fringe so I couldn't resist to go all the way and double up on the theme with a pair of fringe sandals. Also, this sweater does have shorter sleeves which is a plus in my book as my arms are finally able to breathe and feel a little sun (something I've waited a VERY long time for). But if extra layering is needed for the night opting for a tank underneath or even a light jacket will amp up some warmth levels.
