Little Black Patent Leather Miniskirt

There are so many trends gracing every bloggers' Instagram, the internet, and street in general. My fave trends this season are the patent leather miniskirt and fishnets. This high shine miniskirt achieves a bit of funk to just about any look and the fishnets are for added edginess, of course. Paired with a simple white cropped sweater to create a nice balance of contrast. But I didn't just stop there, I went for a bigger impact by adding my new fave fuzzy socks from the Fenty x Stance Socks collection. And speaking of new, after waiting a few weeks for a back in stock email notification I scooped up these super comfy ankle boots from Lulus.com.

Tying the Knot

Obviously not getting married here (probs never will tbh).

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, the knot I was speaking of is the one that is made up of my button down shirt sleeves. Button downs are cool but not when there's sauna-like heat surrounding you and you can't breathe. Oh, Summer, you made it...

Also, forget about the fact that I decided to add a leather jacket I was confused like most New Yorkers.

O U T F I T: How I'm Adding Color to my Wardrobe

You ever get those times when you're shopping and something catches your eye that you know isn't normally something that you would wear? Well, that exact scenario happened to me when this amazing kelly green colored top caught my eye. Honestly, I would never imagine adding such a color to my wardrobe. I think the fact that the top is designed with a cool zippered mock neck and is in a cropped fit made it worth the buy. I think after this spontaneous purchase I have a feel for adding more color to my wardrobe because black, white and grey is getting real boring.
