3 Stylish Ways to Wear Black & White this Winter

Ahhhh, the cold...as much as I hate winter I love putting together looks of layered goodness. This time I have gone into full monochrome mode and created three looks featuring pieces from Missguided. Each look, of course, has a different mood for whether you're on some chill vibes or feeling a little edgy.

Look 1: Chill 4 Chill | This coat is the coziest one I own yet and I am obsessed! I love how soft it is on the inside but how sophisticated it looks on the outside. The color blocking of the white & black definitely puts this coat on a new level of chic and it for sure attracts a lot of compliments...but I ain't mad tho lol! The chill vibes of this look really come from the pairing of my wool shorts and Converse topped off with a little shirt layering.

Look 2: Zipped Up | Ok first of all these jeans thoooo...the zipper detail is my fave! I have owned a lot of black jeans in my lifetime but these are by far the coolest and edgiest pair. I'm already dreaming of wearing them in the summer unzipped high for a little leg action. This look is my favorite because I'm wearing just about all of my beloved pieces at once and it just makes me feel comfortable to wear things that I like.

Look 3: Winter Statement | I'm not sure what possessed to bare my legs and chest in this cold but I did it and made it look cute, haha! From the flared sleeves to the feather trim skirt how else would I make such a statement this winter?! This look is definitely perfect for hitting up some late night turn ups but I'm the type to make this a daytime outfit just because I can. I'm also loving the play on textures in this look with the shearling coat, silky blouse, and feather trim skirt. Basically, this isn't your typical blouse and skirt combo this one has got some personality and a little 'tude.

Little Black Patent Leather Miniskirt

There are so many trends gracing every bloggers' Instagram, the internet, and street in general. My fave trends this season are the patent leather miniskirt and fishnets. This high shine miniskirt achieves a bit of funk to just about any look and the fishnets are for added edginess, of course. Paired with a simple white cropped sweater to create a nice balance of contrast. But I didn't just stop there, I went for a bigger impact by adding my new fave fuzzy socks from the Fenty x Stance Socks collection. And speaking of new, after waiting a few weeks for a back in stock email notification I scooped up these super comfy ankle boots from Lulus.com.

How to Wear Bright Colors this Winter

Not that my bright pink hair isn't enough I still felt the need to add some color to this pretty neutral palette. The winter season is already a colorless time of the year so wearing something like this neon yellow sweater diminishes all gloomy feels. And of course to top things off snake skin boots just made sense. I mean if you're going to be obnoxious, then be obnoxious, do the absolute most.

O U T F I T: Black, Grey & Mustard

-ASOS Coat & Jeans|Forever 21 Tee & Beanie(similar)|Zara Shoes(similar)-

Nothing like a mustard beanie to add some color to a very neutral look. I love black and grey together but when you incorporate another color into the mix it adds a little more contrast.

If you watched my January Haul video this shaggy sweater should look familiar. I feel like a fluffy poodle but in a good way. This sweater is just so cozy and I need it in multiple colors!

O U T F I T: An Easy Flirty Winter Look

-ASOS Coat|Primark Scarf(similar)|H&M Dress(similar)|Zara Shoes(similar)-

I was feeling a little flirty/girly and I found an old floral cami dress that I thought would be cute for a winter look layered with my turtleneck (barely visible).

O U T F I T: Denim + Faux Fur

-VTG Denim Jacket(similar)|H&M Faux Fur Jacket(similar)|Missguided Tee|Boohoo Jeans|Primark Boots(similar)-

I LOVE denim but when it's paired with my other fave fabric, faux fur, I'm in heaven! Combining a denim and faux fur jacket together adds texture and an interesting layered winter look.

What do you think of the denim and faux fur combo?

O U T F I T: An Easy Way to Wear Color this Winter

-Forever 21 Coat(similar)|Urban Outfitters Shirt(similar)|)Monki Jeans|Primark Scarf(similar)|Converse Sneakers-

Wearing scarves are one of my favorite ways to incorporate color into my winter style. I'm always wearing a different scarf to coordinate with my outfits so if my outfit is very neutral I tend to let my scarf be the colorful accessory.

How do you wear color in the winter?

O U T F I T: How to Look Like A Lumberjack This Winter

-Thrifted Flannel(similar)|VTG Gap Jeans(similar)|H&M Bralette(similar)|Sam Edelman Boots-

I've been digging the flannel and jeans look but I would've never thought that the lumberjack look was going to come into play. I guess when you pair funky hiking boots in the mix you are what you wear in a sense. But it's cool being a lumberjack...right?
TIMBER!

P.S. I was being real experimental with shooting in different places around my house.
